Europeans must realize that Islam is not just another religion in their multi cultural religious rainbow

(...) Europe would be committing a grave mistake if instead of fighting against Islam, she tries to appease the Islamists. Islam must be confronted forcefully and rejected completely. It is nothing but insanity to recognize a doctrine that calls you impure, idolater and even pig and orders its follower to slay you as a legitimate religion. Recognizing Islam is accepting your own death warrant. Muhammad said kill the unbelievers. You are an unbeliever. If you recognize Islam, you are agreeing to be killed. Isn't that stupid?

Muslims in Europe have gained too much power. The more Muslims become powerful the weaker Europe becomes. Europeans must realize that Islam is not just another religion in their multi cultural religious rainbow but rather is their enemy. Islam aims to destroy their culture, their democracy and take away their freedom. They must realize that Muslims are not going to integrate in their countries but rather want to swallow them. If the Europeans do not wake up soon and do not start deporting the Islamists en masse and denouncing Islam as their enemy, they will be annihilated sooner than they can think.

More abhorrent than war is making peace with evil. In the words of the 18th Century British parliamentarian Edmund Burke, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." Those who advocate peace with Islam are fools of this century. If we do not stand against Islam it will grow and then billions will die. Trying to appease Muslims is foolish. It is informed by ignorance of Islam. Most cancers are treatable, if detected in time. But if you ignore them because you think fighting them is daunting, they will grow to a stage that will kill you. Today we have the choice. We can either fight Islam and extirpate it before it threatens our existence or wait and face the apocalypses.

The threat of Islam today, is much greater than the threat of Nazism during the 1930s. Failure to address this threat will result in a war more devastating than the Second World War. Those who advocate peace do not want peace. They are either the enemy itself that wants you to remain peaceful so he can kill you easily or the useful idiots who have no understanding of the danger the world is facing and have fallen into the trap of the enemy, dancing to the beat of their drums.

(...)

Let us remove these masks of deception. Those who advocate “peace” and demand more appeasements and concessions for Muslims are not really working for peace. They are either the enemy itself, or the “useful idiots” working for the enemy.

"Useful idiot" was a sobriquet that the the Chinese Premier Chou En Lai had given to the Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for his blind appeasing the communists and for in 1955 turning down the offer of permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council for India and arguing that the Communist China should get the seat instead. "The first step to be taken is for China to take her rightful place, and then the question of India might be discussed separately," India's then prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru wrote in a letter to the country's top political leaders – explaining why he supported Beijing. He said "Hindi Chini bhai bhai", Indians and Chinese are brothers. But all these did not stop China from invading India in 1962. Appeasement never works

Today the leftists are the “useful idiots” for appeasing the Islamists, just as Neville Chamberlain was the useful idiot for appeasing the Nazis.

Actually the term "Useful Idiot" is believed to be coined by Vladimir Lenin to describe those gullible western reporters who would endorse the Soviets who in just three months had tortured and executed more dissenters than the czars had done in 92 years from 1825-1917. Later on these "useful idiots" would continue praising communism, its policies and its "achievements" during the Cold War. They became apologists for the excesses of the Soviets and did their best to deflect any criticism of this brutal regime.

Today, most of the Western politicians and the mainstream media are vying for that dubious distinction to be the useful idiots for Islam. They volunteer to defend Islam, become its unpaid apologists and say Islam does not preach peace, every time there is a news about terrorism.

The question is; whether the Europeans also want the title.

St. Francis of Assisi and the Conversion of the Muslims

St. Francis of Assisi accompanied the Crusaders to Egypt on the Fifth Crusade, and boldly walked right into the Muslim camp in a spectacular attempt to preach Christianity to the Sultan and his followers. The author shows that St. Francis was a supporter of the armed Crusade, and his goal was the conversion of the Muslims, rather than simply "dialoging" as an end in itself, as some revisionists have purported. He made such an impact with his preaching, that the sultan rebuffed some of his own religious advisors, the imams, who were insisting that Islamic law required that St. Francis must be beheaded.
While the book focuses on this historic encounter, it also includes a comprehensive biography of the Saint, taking the reader through the essential aspects of his life and his life-changing spiritual journey. Read how St. Clare of Assisi left her comfortable aristocratic world to become his follower, how St. Francis originated the Christmas manger, and about the dramatic moment he received the stigmata.
"The most important book on St. Francis in English, in recent years."

Hagia Sophia, the Church of Divine Wisdom

Hagia Sophia had been built during the reign of the Emperor Justinian between the years 532-537 AD and was the largest church in the world. Procopius, an eyewitness to the imposing beauty of this Church of "Divine Wisdom" wrote in his book, De Aedificiis:

The inside is too magnificent to appear commonplace, too tasteful to be thought flamboyant. The brilliance and sparkle of sunlight fills it. You could almost say that it was not lit from outside by the sun, but that it generated its own light so full of light in this holy place. From the round arch rises a tremendous spherical cupola of unique beauty. It scarcely seems to rest on its solid substructure, but rather to be a golden bowl hanging free above the interior. Up there in its heights everything merges in the most incredible harmony. One thing depends on another, yet takes support only from what is immediately beneath it. Each detail guides the eye further and so over the whole. Entering the church to pray, your soul is thus conducted on high. You ascend into heaven. You feel that God is not far away and wish to linger in a place that He Himself has chosen.

The structure was so magnificent that the Ottoman Turks could not bring themselves to destroy it when they conquered Constantinople in 1453. Instead, they converted it into a mosque, replaced the cross with a crescent and added four minarets during the 15th and 16th centuries. The mosaics and frescoes that adorned the walls were whitewashed during the 16th century. The building was finally converted into a museum on Frebruary 6, 1935.

Muslims claim that Jesus Christ and all the Old Testament prophets were true Muslims

The followers of Muhammad show outward respect and devotion to Jesus Christ as well as to all of the Old Testament prophets. To show this outward respect, a Muslim writer puts an acronym after the name of Jesus Christ or one of the Old Testament prophets. The most common acronym used is 'pbuh,' meaning, "peace be upon him." It is the English meaning of the Arabic words, Allah's Salaam. Furthermore, Muslims claim that Jesus Christ and all the Old Testament prophets were true Muslims and prophets of the Lord of the Universe. On the surface, this sounds amazingly supportive of Jesus Christ and the ancient messengers of Allah. There is hardly a religion in all the world that praises these faithful servants of Allah more than Muslim believers.
Yet, in spite of all the verbal praise that Muslims heap upon the holy prophets, they are one the most vigorous opponents to their prophetic message. They disparage and attack the prophetic messages in the holy scriptures, claiming they have been corrupted by Jews and Christians. So, on the one hand, they praise the prophet’s names to the high heavens; but, on the other hand, they toss the prophet’s writings to the lowest earth. It is easy to be charmed by a Muslim’s praise of the divine prophets. With atheists, there is no danger of being disarmed. Atheists don’t believe Allah exists; therefore, they don’t believe there were any divine prophets. So, they don’t praise the prophets above any other person who gives an educated opinion. But, with Muslims, the danger exists, because they claim the Old Testament prophets were divine messengers. Yet, subvert the message itself and argue that the Old and New Testament writings don’t reflect what the prophet wrote. With respect to atheists and Muslims, the end result is the same. Both views attack the integrity of Allah’s message contained the Holy Scriptures.
Now, a person might wonder why it is necessary for Muslims to reject the writings of the true prophets of Allah. Primarily, it is because Muhammad and his message do not harmonize with Allah’s true prophets. He is like a discordant note. So, naturally, Muslims have to claim that the Old and New Testaments were corrupted and are no longer trustworthy. Because, if the Old and New Testament writings really reflect Allah’s truth, then Muhammad and his message stand opposed to the entire prophetic lineage. So, it is vital to Muslim apologists to subvert the message of the ancient witnesses. Their goal is more effectively accomplished by effusive praise of the prophets. (more...)

Guerra santa. Quell'anno in cui i musulmani presero Roma

Sandro MAGISTER

The Legacy of IslamPochi lo sanno, ma è accaduto.
The Euro-Arab Axis".

Muslims sack the capital of the Christian Church

On August 10th 846 the marquis Adalbertus of Tuscany, who watches over Corsica, writes to the pope to warn him of a near attack of the Arabs. But it is too late.
On August 28th 846 the Arabs arrived at the mouth of the river Tiber and they sailed towards Rome.
From Civitavecchia an army started the descent by land in direction of Rome.
Another army began the march from Portus and Ostia.
They didn't succeed in entering the enclosing walls, validly defended by the Romans, but the churches of St. Peter and St. Paul, outside the boundaries, were violated by the Arabs.
Uselessly Saxons, Longobards, Frisians and Franks defended St. Peter up to the last man. The Arabs brought away all the treasures of St. Peter, they tore the silver leaves of the doors, the gold foils of the floor of the confession, devastated the bronzy crypt of the apostle, took the gold cross that stood on the grave of Peter. They laid waste all the churches of the district Suburb.
The marquis Guy of Spoleto, arrived to help Rome, succeeded in defeating the Arabs who withdrew partly towards Civitavecchia and partly towards Fondi, following the Appian Way.
The Arabs' passage, in flight, provoked ruin and devastation in all the Roman country.
At Gaeta the Longobard army clashed again with the Arabs. Guy of Spoleto found himself in serious difficulties, but the Byzantine troops of Cesarius, son of Sergius, magister militum in Naples, arrived in time.
In November of 846 a storm provoked numerous damages to the ships of the Arabs, some of which were shipwrecked on the coast.
The pope Leo IV, in consequence of the attack against St. Peter, in 848 undertook the construction of the Civitas Leonina to protect the Vatican hill. The enclosing walls were completed in June 27th 852.

Mohammed - the Fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy?

Many Muslims claim that Mohammed was foretold in earlier Scriptures, i.e. the Bible, and thus Christians and Jews ought to recognise that he was The Prophet of God. To substantiate this claim, they point to several passages in the Old and New Testaments which supposedly speak of Mohammed. In fact, this line of inquiry has a very long yet not well-evolved record in the history of Muslim polemics against Christianity. In many respects, the same claims which the Muslims were making against the Byzantines in the 11th century are those which are being used by Muslims in the 21st. Little innovation has been introduced into most of these claims of prophetic foretelling for Mohammed. This is not because of the great success which these Muslim arguments have had with those who are knowledgeable of the Bible (indeed, these arguments tend to serve better at bolstering Muslims in their own beliefs than in changing anyone else's), but rather because of the stagnancy introduced into Muslim polemics on this point. This stagnancy is induced by the Muslim truism that the Bible (the Torah and the Gospels) was altered by the Jews and Christians so as to deny the "truths" of Islam which would otherwise still be found in these texts. Thus, when the Muslims find verses in these Scriptures which their more creative theologians can recast as evidential prophecies of Mohammed, it becomes an article of faith that these "prophecies" are still found (despite Jewish/Christian tinkering) because of providential preservation on the part of Allah. Upon examination, however, it is quite clear that Mohammed is not discussed in these passages, and indeed, the Bible is silent about him. A look at the actual context of these passages, both in the text and in the historico-social settings, dispels the myth that these passages refer to Mohammed. While any Christian who has spent a reasonable amount of time studying the Bible is unlikely to be swayed by the arguments that Mohammed is found in these passages, it may still be helpful to new Christians to see the errors in the Muslim claims for these verses, and can also be of benefit to all Christians who deal with Muslims in helping us to systematically dispel and debunk these claims in the minds of the Muslim friends and neighbours with whom we interact. As such, I present the most common Old and New Testament verses which are abused by Muslim polemicists.

«If Muslims were to shed their yoke of ignorance...»

There are many reasons Islamic clerics are sensitive about having the Qur’an translated into a contemporary language. The most important are that they don’t want anyone to know what it actually says or how poorly it’s written, but we’ll get to that in a moment. Muslims claim that Arabic was Allah’s original tongue and that translations are simply paraphrases. But that would make Allah younger than man because Arabic is one of man’s most recent dialects. Its written form didn’t emerge until the 7th century. And most every important religious word, concept, and name used in the Qur’an was derived from Syriac, the language of Syrian Christians in the 6th century.

Muslims invest a quarter of their school day learning to recite the Qur’an —not reading it or understanding it. They simply learn to mouth its sounds in the arcane, inadequate, and odd dialect of Religious Arabic. That way they can be fooled into believing that it’s “God’s Book,” and that it’s written intelligently. Ignorant, they can be indoctrinated and thus manipulated by clerics and kings. Even turned into human bombs when it serves Islam’s interests.

If Muslims were to shed their yoke of ignorance, they would discover that the real reason those who indoctrinate them, control them, suppress them, fleece them, and abuse them want them deceived is that the actual message contained in Allah’s Book is horrendous. It is more intolerant, racist, punitive, and violent than Hitler’s Mein Kampf. There are one hundred vicious verses for every nice one. The book inspires infinitely more terror than peace.

San Francesco e l'Islam

In parole...

Blessed Mark of Aviano, the Crusader friar of Habsburg Austria

London barrister and historian James Bogle discusses here the life and times of a great Catholic: Blessed Mark of Aviano (Marco d’Aviano in the original Italian), who deserves to be much better known in the English-speaking world.

Beato Marco d'AvianoOn 27 April 2003, Pope John Paul II beatified Rev Fr Mark of Aviano OFMCap (1631-99). The ceremony occurred without any world-wide protest from Muslims, and certainly nothing of the sort that accompanied the considerably more innocuous recent commentary of Pope Benedict XVI at Regensburg.

Mark of Aviano was a Capuchin friar, born Carlo Domenico, in Aviano in the Republic of Venice. So keen was his zeal that, at the age of sixteen, he went to Crete – where the Venetians were then at war with the Muslim Ottoman Turks – to offer himself to defend the island.

Christendom was in constant danger of being overwhelmed by the Muslim Turks, and the Protestant Reformation had simply weakened the defences. Moreover, Catholic Christendom was fighting, now, on two fronts against both Muslim and Protestant and might, at any time, be swept away altogether. Particular determination, tenacity and courage was now needed more than ever from the defenders of Christendom. Fortunately, courage was not lacking.
Vienna besieged

In September 1529, after defeating the Hungarians at the Battle of Mohács, the Ottoman Turks and their allies laid siege to Vienna – the famous “Siege of Vienna” of 1529. After a tremendous struggle the Austrians, under the seventy-year-old Count Nicholas von Salm, were finally victorious, although Salm himself was killed during the siege.

On 7 October 1571, the Ottoman Turks had seized the opportunity to launch a vast fleet to conquer as much of Christendom as they could. Almost miraculously, they were defeated at Lepanto by the combined Christian fleets under the command of Grand Admiral John of Austria, the illegitimate son of the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V.

To this was added the prayers of Christendom since the pope, St Pius V, had ordered a Christendom-wide Rosary prayer campaign for victory. Later, at the “Battle of Vienna” of 1683, King Jan (John) III Sobieski of Poland, also accompanied by Christendom-wide praying of the Rosary, delivered Vienna and Christendom once again from the Muslim Ottoman Turks.

Mark of Aviano, knowing the dangers, set out to risk martyrdom at the hands of the Turkish horde. Arriving at a Capuchin convent, he was welcomed by the superior, who, after providing him with food and rest, advised him to return home. But Mark stayed in the convent long enough to be deeply impressed by their way of life and – not least – by their militancy in defending the Christian faith. In 1648, he entered the novitiate of the Capuchins.

This was in the year when the Treaty of Westphalia was signed and ended the bloody and internecine Thirty Years’ War. It was the year when the Long Parliament in England passed the Vote of No Address, breaking off negotiations with King Charles I and thereby setting the scene for the second phase of the English Civil War.

One year later, Mark professed his vows. He progressed sufficiently well in the Order that in 1664 he received a licence to preach throughout the Republic of Venice and other Italian states, especially during Advent and Lent. He was also given more responsibility when he was elected superior of the convent of Belluno in 1672, and of the convent of Oderzo in 1674.
Blessed Mark of Aviano

New direction

But it was in 1676 that his life took a sudden new direction. He gave his blessing to a nun who had been bedridden for some thirteen years, whereupon she was healed.

Soon his fame grew widely enough for the Emperor himself – by then Emperor Leopold I – to take note. Leopold met Friar Mark, was soon deeply impressed by him, and effectively made him one of his privy counsellors.

Around this time Mark was also appointed by the Venerable Pope Innocent XI as Apostolic Nuncio and Papal Legate. His status was now complete: he was the personal adviser of the Emperor and of the defending Catholic monarchs.

He turned his attention back to his original aim and desire: the defence of a free Christendom from Islam. A passionate and eloquent preacher, he used his skills to great advantage in keeping and maintaining unity among the Holy League armies of Austria, Poland, Venice, and the Papal States, by now under the leadership of King Jan Sobieski, who was called upon by the Emperor to defend Christendom from the once more invading Turk.

This time, the Turks came by land.
“Behold the Cross of the Lord!”

In the decisive Battle of Vienna of 1683, the Holy League armies succeeded in repulsing the invaders. Famously, during the fighting, Friar Mark brandished a crucifix at the Turks, shouting to them “Behold the Cross of the Lord: Flee, enemy bands!”.

From 1683 to 1689 he committed himself to the military campaign, promoting good relations between the various component forces of the Imperial army. He acted as Chaplain-General to the Army exhorting, consoling, ministering to, and leading the soldiers. In this, he mirrored the heroic life of an earlier Franciscan, St John of Capistrano, who had aided the Empire’s Hungarian general, Count Jan Hunyady, to lift the Turkish siege of Belgrade in the fifteenth century.

Friar Mark’s guidance helped bring about a second liberation of Belgrade. This time, it was in 1688, the year that, in England, the Catholic King James II was being treacherously ousted from his rightful throne by the Protestant revolutionaries.

Not only Protestants, but also the devious and scarcely Catholic King Louis XIV of France, did not hesitate to side with the Turks against the Empire; but Friar Mark and King Jan III overcame all odds. Moreover, Friar Mark, magnanimous in victory, was ever astute in protecting surrendering Muslims and prisoners from retribution. His zeal for the defence of Christendom was fierce, but always tempered by mercy and compassion.

The Ottomans fought on for another sixteen years, losing control of Hungary and Transylvania in the process, before finally giving up. Thus, the Battle of Vienna marks the end of Turkish expansion into Christendom, finalized by the Treaty of Karlowitz.

The combination of the spiritual and the temporal, the religious and the lay, pope and emperor, friar and king, had once again proved the ultimate defence for Catholic Christendom. Not for nothing did Our Lord say, mysteriously, when St Peter showed him two swords, interpreted to mean the lay and the spiritual, “It is enough” (Luke 22:38). Sobieski, doubtless influenced by Friar Mark, had entrusted all to the protection of Our Lady of Czestochowa before the battle.

Siege of Vienna
A significant date

Ironically, for us, the Battle of Vienna took place on a very significant date. It began on 11 September and ended on 12 September, the Vigil and Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, respectively. It thus began on the date that is now known to us as “9/11”, the day of the attack upon the Twin Towers in New York in 2001. The choice was doubtless deliberate on the part of the Muslim terrorists, but they did not reckon with its other resonances.

At Friar Mark’s beatification in 2003, the Pope said that Friar Mark reminds the European continent “that its unity will be more stable if it is based on its common Christian roots.” Other commentators like John Allen, of the National Catholic Reporter, feared that the beatification might lead to hostile reaction from Islam. But Italian director Renzo Martinelli, who is making a film based on the life of Mark of Aviano, countered by saying that “without him, Italian women would today be wearing the burqa.”

Legends surround Friar Mark. One says that the croissant was invented in Vienna to celebrate the defeat as a reference to the crescents on the Turkish flags. Austrian-born Marie Antoinette introduced the pastry to France in 1770.

Another legend from Vienna has the first bagel as a gift to King Jan Sobieski, to honour his victory. It was fashioned in the form of a stirrup, to commemorate the victorious charge by the Polish cavalry.

After the battle, the Austrians discovered many bags of coffee in the abandoned Turkish encampment. Using this captured stock, Franciszek Jerzy Kulczycki (a Polish merchant) opened the third coffeehouse in Europe and the first in Vienna, where, according to legend, Kulczycki and Friar Mark added milk and honey to sweeten the bitter coffee. The result was thereafter termed “cappuccino”, after the brown hood of the Capuchin friar.
Missions to Islam

Other saints also had a particular mission amongst the Muslims. St John of Matha and St Felix of Valois (of the Royal house of France) founded the Trinitarians for the ransom of Christian captives, and St Peter Nolasco founded the Order of Our Lady of Ransom after our Lady appeared to him in 1218.

Yet foolish commentators would have us believe that the view of the Church has historically been a bloodthirsty one, bent partly upon conquest and partly upon plunder, but only incidentally upon any good. It is a mendacious picture. No cognisance is given of the simple fact that the entirety of Christendom was under constant threat, at short notice, from complete conquest by the invading Ottomans whose janissaries often roamed at will, marauding, upon the hills of Austria and flat plains of Hungary.

The Church’s attitude was not only reasonable and rational, but it was also robust yet merciful, courageous yet compassionate, firm but fair. Moreover, it still remains the only solution to handling the modern threat from Islamic terrorism and extremism.

This, truly, is the legacy of Blessed Mark of Aviano. No coward, he was ready to defend Christendom with his life, by martyrdom if necessary, but he was also ever-compassionate to the defeated enemy; and, the threat neutralised, he, like St John of Matha, St Felix of Valois and St Peter Nolasco, sought to negotiate diplomatically to find peaceful solutions. Like them, he was ready to redeem captives by personal sacrifice, if necessary, neither shrinking from the duty to defend Christendom nor erring on the side of hatred or disrespect nor unwillingness to parley even with the worst of erstwhile enemies.

Not for nothing is Blessed Mark still honoured today in Austria and Venice. He and the whole Capuchin Order were, and are, especially venerated by the Habsburg imperial family, who, from the time of Blessed Mark, took as their personal chaplains the Capuchin friars, and often baptised their children with the name Markus d’Aviano.

Moreover, by imperial rescript, emperors were thereafter buried in the crypt of the Capuchin Church in Vienna. The ceremony was seen once again at the death of the Empress Zita in 1989.

The great procession halts at the door of the Capuchin church, the coffin carriage guarded by the Tyrolean Schützenkompanie, ahead of the guards, hussars, uhlans and lancers, the ranks of the nobility and the throngs of the people of Vienna. The Chamberlain knocks with his staff and the voice of a Capuchin friar calls from within “Who is there?”. The imperial and other titles are read out in full, and the voice says “We do not know her”; again the same reading takes place, but with fewer titles; finally the Chamberlain knocks and says “Zita, a sinful mortal”. The friar replies, “Then we know her!”, and opens the great door to let the procession into the imperial friary Church.

It is a ceremony wholly in keeping with the spirit of Blessed Mark. All the more fitting, then, is the large statue of Blessed Mark of Aviano, outside the Church, holding aloft the crucifix, advancing and calling on all – emperor, king or mere citizen – to yield to the Cross of Christ, the source of all peace, justice, hope and salvation for every man who ever lived or ever shall live.

Blessed Mark of Aviano, pray for us!
